Who are Members of the IDH?
The multidisciplinary nature of the IDH’s
purpose—which is a reflection of the multidimensional,
indivisible and universal character of the human rights
thematic— calls for a highly qualified member base. This member
base is comprised of individuals with an important record of
accomplishment in their respective fields as well as an
undisputable commitment to the protection of human rights.
Furthermore, the well-established ethical and intellectual
probity of each of the IDH members provides him or her with a
unique understanding of the most sophisticated social, political
and economic problems besetting the country. This understanding
will improve standards and forms of governance when submitted to
government officials in the form of recommendations and
proposals.
To this end, the IDH member base will cover a
wide array of specializations including attorneys, medical
doctors, economists, nutritionists, sociologists, psychologists,
education specialists, philosophers, historians,
anthropologists, engineers, architects and statisticians; along
with specialists in any field of study linked in one way or
another to the inherent rights of the human existence.
