The Instituto de
Derechos Humanos (IDH) was founded in Lima, Peru in September of
2004. The IDH serves as an advocate for the protection of human
rights for the purpose of securing and increasing the quality of
life enjoyed by all members of the population. With the express
understanding that Democracy is both a means to an end and an
end in itself, the IDH actively promotes dialogue aimed at the
gradual solution of the country’s most challenging problems by
strengthening society’s primary institutional pillars.
